When Sentrol acquired the rights to the STFI OPTI-Profile cross-machine control system, Seyhan Nuyan was the engineer responsible for incorporating the product and the knowledge into the Sentrol organisation. At that time I was still employed at Stora-Enso Skoghall mill (where I was the responsible mill engineer in the development project at Skoghall PM5), so we never met then.
When Valmet acquired Sentrol (and the STFI OptiProfile IP) in 1986 Seyhan Nuyan joined Valmet in the North American organisation.
30+ years later Seyhan and his collegue Calvin Fu wrote the paper "The Evolution of Process Automation" which was presented at the 22'nd International Control Systems Conference in Helsinki, Finland.
We have since worked together in the International Control Systems steering committen since 2010.
